Desert Torah Academy Jewish Day School  was founded by Rabbi and Rebbetzin Shea and Dina Harlig.    The main mission of the school is to help unaffliated Jewish families in Las Vegas re-find their Jewish foundation and, through their children, develop a rebirth of Torah life in their homes.

A basic value of Desert Torah Academy Jewish Day School is to care for the less fortunate among us and to actively support the greater community that surrounds us. The school has earned a reputation for its community caring projects and its involvement in the Jewish life of the local Las Vegas community. The school's philosophy includes giving back to the community that has so generously donated to the creation and continuation of the Desert Torah Academy Day School campus. DTA depends on financial and volunteer support from a wide segment of the Las Vegas community.
